Wheelchair Access

Disabled Access and Other Facilities

Wheelchair users are welcome to wait in the waiting room in their wheelchairs.

If you need assistance to attend surgery you can phone in advance or ring the doorbell by the front door and our friendly receptionist will come out to greet you, with a smile, for any assistance required.

The doctors will be aware of your attendance and will come out to assist you when your turn is due.

If there is any concern please let the receptionist know.

Patient Toilet

Hand/grab rails by the toilet will help to steady patients using walking frame.

There are 2 Emergency Bell presses : one on the nappy changing table by the loo and the other at low level on the wall by the door.  Please ring for assistance when needed.

Although we do not have a low level Reception desk counter top (the present 1.10 metre height is designed for security, staff safety and patient confidentiality), wheelchair users can always use the shelf surface directly opposite the reception desk to write upon. Or, if you prefer, we can provide you with a clipboard to enable easy form filling.  This is a great suggestion offered by the Disability Accessibility Organisation when advice was sought.

Nappy Changing facility is available in the patient toilet.

The mat is wiped down with anti-bacterial wipes before and

after each session.   You can see the "Emergency call bell"

at the left edge of the table.

Additional wipes are available.  Please ask the receptionist.

Prams and mobility scooters can be stored under the awing at the Practice's back door within the Doctor's carpark.  Locks can also be requested from Reception for additional security - please ring the bell on the back door on arrival.

Automatic Antibacterial Disinfectant Dispenser

(no need to touch to dispense)

Please use the antibacterial dispenser next to the

reception counter on arriving to the surgery and on

This will reduce the risk of spreading infection when

touching surfaces such as door handles, magazines or toys.
