Click on NEWS for important patient information regarding the Practice

( posted on Jun 3, 2020 )

Dear patient we are pleased to announce that our Practice is working towards a brighter future for our patients. Bush Hill Park Medical Practice has collaborated with 14 other practices in Enfield to form Medicus Health Partners (MHP) on 1st April 2019.

For more information about Medicus Health Partners (MHP) please visit http://www.medicushealthpartners.co.uk/ details for all 15 practices of MHP can be found under the MHP Practices tab.

This exciting development will provide the foundation for a new model of General Practice which we believe will provide a valuable contribution to the NHS as a whole which will ultimately result in a better service for all of our patients.

  • We will still continue to provide you with an excellent service, however we are currently changing the way we work by reviewing the way in which we deliver our services and the organization of our practice so that we can better serve our patient’s needs.
  • Please bear with us whilst we implement those changes.  Over the next few months we will be asking you for your views and opinions on how we can improve our services.
  • Please visit this site regularly to find out about the changes that are taking place. Please also take part in the online questionnaires and surveys that we will be posting in this site, to find out your views so that we can improve on the services that we offer.

COVID-19 IMPORTANT INFORMATION! ( posted on Mar 12, 2020 )

“MHP are following guidance to try and contain/minimise the spread of COVID-19. For safety of patients, staff and families we are only booking appointments for urgent clinical requirements. Telephone appointments will be used for all other requirements.
You will be contacted to inform when the status has changed, and Medicus Health Partners is confident that the environment is safe to do so.”

Information regarding proposed relocation of Bush Hill Park Medical Centre to Lincoln Road Medical Practice ( posted on Jan 30, 2019 )

Medicus Health Partners (MPH)

BHPMC is now a member of Medicus Health Partners (an Enfield based GP led super-partnership currently made up of 16 Practices).

One of the benefits that this new partnership will provide is the ability for patients to book an appointment with either a GP or a Practice Nurse at one of the other Medicus GP sites should BHPMC be fully booked, e.g. Lincoln Road Medical Practice or Forest Road Primary Care Centre. In the event that BHPMC does relocate to LRMP, it would therefore be more convenient for our patients to see the LRMP healthcare staff as it would be less disruption with regards to travelling.

CHANGE IN PRACTICE COMPUTER SYSTEMS AUGUST 2018 ( posted on Jun 28, 2018 )

IMPORTANT PATIENT NOTICE

On Wednesday 15th August 2018 the Practice will be changing the computer system which manages the patient medical records. We therefore anticipate some disruptions to patient services during the whole month of August and would like to provide you with the following information and advice:

Prescriptions

  • Patients who hand in a repeat prescription from Tuesday 2nd July to Friday 3rd August will be automatically issued two months supply unless the GP orders otherwise.
  • Any repeat prescriptions handed in between Thursday 9th August to Tuesday 14th August will not be issued until Wednesday 15th August when the new computer system is installed. If you require your medications earlier then you will need to see the GP for the prescription to be issued.

Appointments

  • From Thursday 9th August till Friday 17th August all appointments will only be available to be booked on the day. This can be done via the phone or in person at Reception.
  • Patients currently registered with on-line services will be unable to use their accounts to request prescriptions or book appointments from 7pm on Wednesday 8th August. If a patient wishes to continue with on-line services from the 15th August then they will need to re-register with the new computer system - please ask at Reception for further details.
  • Appointments unfortunately may be running later than usual throughout August as the new computer systems are installed and as staff become more experienced with the new procedures. We would therefore advise that patients allow enough time in their day to accommodate for any delays at the Practice.
  • From Thursday 9th August to Wednesday 15th August we kindly request that patients only attend to see the GP for urgent medical problems due to delays and complications we anticipate with changing the computer systems. For routine appointments, e.g. BP/Diabetes/COPD reviews, immunisations, smear tests, etc., we kindly request if patients can book to see the GP after the 15th August.

Test Results

We will experience a longer delay than usual to receive blood test results, scan reports and NHS 111 reports from Monday 6th August. Please contact Reception after Monday 20th August for any results if you've not heard anything from the Practice before then.

Registrations

  • We will unfortunately be unable to register any new patients from Wednesday 1st August to Friday 31st August. The only exceptions will be new-born babies to parents already registered with the Practice – please ask at Reception for further details.
  • We will be unable to update any patient details between Thursday 9th August to Wednesday 15th August. If you wish to change any details on your medical records then please inform us either before the 9th August or after 15th August.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause as we update our computer systems to provide better patient care for the future. We therefore thank you in advance for your patience and understanding during this time.
